You have to appear for civil service examination to become a customs officer. This exam is conducted by UPSC. After clearing this exam you can enter in to many services including Indian Customs and Central Exercise Services. There are two parts in this exam. The first one is the preliminary exam and the second one is the main exam. The eligibility for appearing for this exam is to have completed graduation from any recognized university. The minimum age required for applying for this exam is to be above 19 years of age. You should obtain a minimum of 55% marks to appear for this exam. Many prominent periodicals, leading newspapers and official websites notify about this exam. Many other qualities are required for becoming customs officer. These are
Indian Citizenship

Ability to work in flexible schedules

Must pass an extensive background check

Must possess a driving license

Must be able to activate telephone or radio equipments, etc.

Should posses an aptitude to cooperate and communicate with the community

Should have never had drugs of any kind

After clearing the written test and interview you will have to undergo training in customs department. You should prepare well with a proper study plan. Many coaching centers like T.I.M.E., IAS Coaching Center, Brilliant Tutorials, etc provide coaching for civil service exams. You can join any of these near your place. You can know about the fees and other details in the notification.

Hi,
If you want to become customs officer you have to give CIVIL SERVICES exam.

NOTIFICATION COMES IN MONTH OF FEBRUARY.

PRELIMINARY EXAM IS HELD IN MONTH OF JUNE.

UPSC Stands for Union Public Service Commission is conducted every year.

To become customs officer then you need to crack the Civil Service examination.

Minimum Qualification for this examination is graduate degree with minimum pass marks from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and those who are pursing in the final year of degree course can also eligible. Age limits for this examination is 21 years and 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination.

Civil Service examination can be divided into three stages :- 1)Preliminary exam 2)Main exam 3)Personal Interview.

Preliminary Examination Pattern :-

Paper - I(200 Marks) Duration :- Two hrs.

-Current Events of national and International Importance
-History of India and Indian National Movements
-Indian and World Geography
-Indian and Polity Governance
-Economics and Social development
-General Issues
-General Science

Paper - II(200 Marks) Duration :- Two hrs.

-Comprehension
-Interpersonal Skills Including communication skills
-Logical reasoning and analytical ability
-Decision making and Problem Solving
-General mental ability
-Basic Numeracy

-English Language Comprehension Skills

Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor’s degree is the basic qualification.

Age : 19 Years Minimum

Selection Process :
1. Preliminary Exam
2. Main Exam
3. Interview
