Every year Net exam held two time in month of june and december. This exam conduct by ugc for jrf and lecturership.
Candidate should have post graduate degree with 55% marks from recognise university. There is no upper age limit for lecturership. Candidate can apply online on ugc website. The National Educational Testing(NET) Bureau of University Grants Commission(UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) for the post of lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) for Indian nationals.
After qualifying NET you are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer in all Indian universities/Institutes/colleges. The candidate who qualify the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Examination are also eligible for the post of lectureship. In addition they are also eligible to receive Fellowships (UGC/CSIR) under various schemes subject to the candidates finding their placement in the universities/IITs/other national organizations. The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type question Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of you. Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which you would be required to answer any fifty (50). In case of you attempt more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted, would be evaluated. Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject that you chose. Each question will carry 2 marks. Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject that you chose. Each question will carry 2 marks. Minimum Marks (%) to be obtained from GENERAL category: 40% in Paper-I, 40% in Paper-II, 50% in Paper-III OBC(Non-creamy layer) category: 35% in Paper-I, 35% in Paper-II, 45% in Paper-III PH/VH/SC/ST category: 35% in Paper-I, 35% in Paper-II, 40% in Paper-III Syllabus of Test: Syllabi for all NET subjects can be downloaded from the UGC Website http://oldwebsite.ugc.ac.in/inside/syllabus.html and are also available in the libraries of all Indian Universities. hai, NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET exam Being Conducted by UGC. This exam will be conducted for the award of junior Research Fellowship(JRF) and also for eligibility into Lectureship. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The candidate should have a citizen of india. The candidate should complete the graduation from any recognized university. One should have to score a minimum of 55% of marks in their post graduation course in order to be eligible for this exam. Relaxation is there in percent of marks upto 5% for tech candidates of sc/st category. AGE LIMIT: There is no upper age limit for the candidate lectureship.
