The Educational Qualification required for NET exam is masters degree .Your masters degree marks must be above 55% . 5% marks relaxation is provide for SC/ST category.

If Your masters degree marks is below 55% then you are applicable for UGC NET exam other wise not.

There is a age criteria for Junior Research Fellowship .Your age should be below 28 years old. Age relaxation unto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD / OBC .For the post of Lectureship , There is no upper age limit .

You have completed MCA degree so you are applicable for NET exam So your examination department is computer application and your subject code is 87 .

MCA NET Syllabus

The minimum requirement to sit for the UGC NET entrance examination is :-

1) The age of applicant has to be within 18-28 years if applying for the Junior Research Fellowship Program

2) The lower age limit for applying for lectureship is 18 years but there is no restriction on the upper age limit in this category..

3) The minimum educational qualification that is expected from the applicant is that of a post graduation..

4) You should have also secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in your master's degree (50% for SC/ST candidates)

There are 3 papers to be cleared in this examination..

National Eligibility Test for appointment of Lecturers in colleges and universities and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

Net Exam is to post

1.Lectureship NET: for appointment as Lecturers

2.JRF : Junior Research Fellowship

Age Limit

Lectureship NET: Minimum 19 years, no upper age limit

JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) NET: Minimum 19 years; maximum 28 years

You have Complete of Final Year of Post Graduation Degree

Application Fee:

For SC/ ST/ PH/ VH candidate is Rs 110

For OBC candidate is Rs 225

For General candidate is Rs 450.

UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission- National Eligibility Test. This is a national level entrance test which is conducted by the national educational testing bureau of university grants commission every year.

By giving this examination you can look forward to lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship. This test only checks whether the applications are eligible to enter the teaching profession and research.

Junior Research Fellowship is for those students who wants to pursue research. JRF is available for five years and the university for those candidates has also granted a number of fellowships to the universities who qualify the test for JRF.

If you want to apply for the UGC NET exam then you need to have the following educational qualification:-

• You should have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions.
  
• The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with disability (PWD) category needs to secure not less than 50% of marks without rounding off.
  
• If you will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree examination or is waiting for the results to come out then also you can give this exam. However you will be admitted provisionally.
  
• You must complete your P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks and if you fail to do so then you will be disqualified.

Age Criteria:-

For the JRF Post:- The upper age limit is 28 years
For the Lectureship Post:- There is no age restriction

Age Relaxation:- There is a five years age relaxation for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PWD/OBC and to the women applicants.
