NDA is a 3 year course like graduation,its affiliated to jawaharlal Nehru university

there is arts and science stream they also have computer science

The training program of N.D.A. qualified canddiates comprises of 3 year academic
training and then precommission training.

NDA Examination qualified students get admission in National Defence Academy first.
The admitted candidates undergo 3 year course in arts/science equivalent to Graduation.

No course is good or bad. It just depends on what are your goals and what like.
If you choose Arts then you have only one option i.e. Indian Military Academy.
If you choose Science stream then you will be eligible for all the three wings of NDA
i.e. Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy.

After the completion of the 3 years course (graduation) you will be sent to
Indian Military Academy or Air Force Academy or Indian Naval Academy
for pre-commission training.

Depending upon merit and choice and graduation stream, trained students are sent to
one of three academies.

After successful completion of training you will be appointed as officers in
Army/Navy/Air Force Services.

Basic eligibility required for NDA are:
- You are eligible for NDA after 10+2 exam.
-only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
-candidates appearing in 12th class can also apply.
- Age : From 19 Years to 24 years. Engineer graduates 20 to 27 years
- Degree. BA, B.Sc or B.Tech/BE
- No. of attempts is less than or equal to 4.

TRAINING:
The training involves an exacting schedule of 3 years before the cadets join their respective Service Academies.

Army Training: The cadets are taught section level tactics and basic operations of war, like patrolling, ambush and map reading. It also comprises of academic training, military strategies, outdoor activities like horsemanship, rock climbing, physical training, firing etc.

Navy Training: All Naval cadets undergo practical training of sailing at Peacock Bay, which is fully equipped to train naval cadets on all the aspects of Boat handling, Wind Surfing, Rowing and other related areas.

Air-Force Training: All Air Force cadets undergo practical training of gliding. This team is fully equipped to provide about 12 launches to each Air force cadet before he joins the Air Force Academy.

The "H" squadron(aka hunter sqdrn) dormitory at the National Defence Academy
Applicants to the NDA are selected via a written exam conducted by the UPSC, followed by extensive interviews covering general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills as well as physical and social skills, along with medical tests. Incoming classes are accepted twice a year for semesters starting in July and January. About 320,000 applicants appear for each written exam.

Training Pattern
All the cadets joining the NDA after their 10+2 Examination, are trained in the Academy for three years culminating into graduation in B.A/B.Sc. or B. Sc. (Computer Science) degree of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Apart from academic training they are also trained in outdoor skills, like Drill, PT and games. The emphasis in NDA is on character building, esprit-de-corps, mental and physical robustness, leadership and a sense of keen observation.

HELLO FRIEND,
The cadets join the NDA after their 10+2 Examination. They are imparted training in the Academy for three years .
ACCORDING TO IN nda , NAVY course is best, because of large adventures in it.

No . you cacnot become IPS officer after passing NDA. for IPS officer the exam is Civil services which u can give only after graduation. nda is for graduation degree alongwith defence career training at Khadakvasla Pune.

Dear friend,

NDA or National Defence Academy is a defence exam that is conducted by itself for recruitment to three academies namely:

• Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
  
• Indian Naval Academy, Kannur, Kerala
  
• Indian Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Telangana

Before joining these academies, NDA cadets undergo training at National Defence Academy located in Khadakwasla, Pune.

The overall duration of the training period in NDA is about 3 years.

After this training, the cadet is sent to their respective Training Academy for Pre-Commision Training.

After the successful completion of Training in these academies, you will appointed the post of Officers.

All the three wings i.e. Army, Navy, Air Force are best wings.

There is no comparison between these three because each wing is related to different fields Land, Air & Water.

So, all the three wings are necessary for developing a strong nation.

Recently, NDA Exam was conducted on 27 September, 2015.

Now, upcoming NDA Exam will be conducted in the month of April next year.
