What is eligibility for NDA

Hello,

The eligibility criteria for NDA is that the Candidate must have passed Class-XII. You must have studied Physics & Maths in Class-XII,If you wish to apply to the Air Force/Navy wings of NDA.The age limit is starting from 19years.

If you are currently studying Class-XII, you can also appear for the NDA Exam provided you must provide the proof of passing the Class XII exam at a later date as specified by UPSC.You also need to have minimum physical standard as required by UPSC.

You need to write NDA exam and clear both written, SSB and medical check up.
about eligibility, i have attached a file here.
NDA is of 3 years training. Then you will be sent to IMA.
NDA is a very good career option.

National Defense Academy Examination

Eligibility Criteria:
Age: 16½ to 19 years.

Marital Status and gender: Unmarried male candidates

Educational Qualification:
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Completed 12th standard with maths,physics and chemistry or appearing final exam of 12th class with maths,physics and chemistry.

Age should be between 16 to 19 years

Exam Pattern:

Exam is for 900 marks

Mathematics paper is for 300 marks (90 min)
General studies paper is for 600 marks(90 min)

To appear in NDA examination, your age should between 16 1/2 To 19 Years and only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for NDA examination.

The educational qualification are vary from post to post. So, please check the eligiblity criteria -

NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY

This examination is conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION)..This Academy consists of three wings of joint training:
army,
navy
and air force

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS-
you must have 12th degree from a recognized board.Those who had taken Physics & Mathematics in Class 12th can apply for navy and air force.

AGE LIMIT-
16.5-19 YEARS.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT-
Any candidate whose height is not within157.5cms to 162.5cms cannot apply for Air Force wing. Candidates whose chest is less than 81cms cannot apply. Candidates should have proper eyesight. They should not be overweight or under weight.
