The course offered by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India is known as Cost and Work Accountancy course and it comprise of the following stages:

1. Foundation Course
2. Intermediate Course
3. Final Course
4. Practical Training

Students who have qualified +2 level of examination from a recognized board has to enroll for the Foundation Course whereas, a graduate, in any discipline, can enroll for the Intermediate Course without pursuing the Foundation Course.

The duration of each aforementioned stages of Cost and Work Accountancy course is as follows:

Foundation Course:

• Minimum Duration= 6 months

Intermediate Course:

• Minimum Duration= 12 months

Practical Training:

• Minimum Duration=36 months

Final Course:

• Minimum Duration 12 months

Is it mandatory to do practical training in icwai before or after final xam...please give me the details about the traing and its duration.and also give information salary provided in training duration and after icwai final xam.

Admission to ICWAI

Qualification Required ;

For Foundation Course: Eligibility for Admission:

> > 17 years of age; and
> > Passed Senior Secondary Examination under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board.

Intermediate Course: Eligibility for Admission:

> > Candidates must not be less than 18 years of age; and

> > has passed degree Examination of any recognised University or equivalent .

Duration Of The Course :

Foundation Course: Minimum Duration= 6 months

Intermediate Course: Minimum Duration= 12 months

Practical Training: Minimum Duration=36 months

Final Course: Minimum Duration 12 months

When to Apply:

* * Exams are held two times in a year i.e. on 11th to 18th June and on 10th to 17th December.

* * For June Term Examination apply before 30th November of previous year and for December Term Examination apply before 31st May

how much training is mandatry for attempt final exam

Hello Friend

There are three levels of ICWAI qualification course.
These are;

1. Foundation Course
2. Intermediate Course
3. Final Course

You can apply for Foundation Course after 12th. After qualifying Foundation level
you can apply for Intermediate level and after qualifying Intermediate level you can
apply for Final Course.

If you are Graduate then you can directly apply for Intermediate Level exam without
having qualified Foundation course.

The duration of Foundation course is 10 months, duration of intermediate course is
one year and the duration of Final level is 10 months.

The total fess for Foundation level is around Rs. 10,000/-
The total fees for Intermediate level is : Rs.34,250/-
The total fees for Final level is : Rs.34,050/-

Is it necessary to complete training of three yrs?

Yes it is very much necessary to complete practical training

I have almost completed my 3 yrs training but before starting it, i havnt informed insitute....what to do now???

if anyone is still working in company, & have 7 years of experience, is 3 yrs training required ?
