What is the upper age limit for appearing in UPSC Civil Services examination?

Respected Sir, my D.O.B is 13.12 1998 and my current age is 20 years but next year I will be 21 years of age. So, next year i.e., in 2019 will I be eligible for UPSC Civil Services exams?

As per the eligibility criteria for appearing in the Civil Services examination, the age criteria for appearing in the Civil Services examination 2019 is between 21 years to 32 years as on 01.08.2019. For reserved category candidates there is provision of age relaxation as per the government norms.

So, being born on 13.12.1998, you can not apply for the Civil Services examination 2019 as you will not turn 21 years by 01.08.2019.

For more details regarding the same examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.

The minimum and maximum age limit for Civil Services examination is calculated on 1st August of year of examination.

1. The minimum age limit for examination is 21 years for this exam. It will be calculated on 1st August of year of exam.

You will be less than 21 years on 1st August, 2019.

You are not eligible for 2019 exam.

Hello,

car conducted by UPSC only mentions that a candidate above the age of 21 can apply for the examination.

As mentioned by you ,you will not turn 21 before the prelims.exam so you are not eligible to apply fot the same.
You can applying fr the 2020 examination and start preparing for the same with the help of basic books like ncerts.
Good luck
