Age limit for UPSC Civil services exam 2016
My DOB is 15--06--1985.GENERAL CATEGORY. Am I eligible for 2016 UPSC CIVILS exam? I am worried Regarding max age limit for 2016.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the 2016 Civil services examination conducted by the UPSC.
Eligibility required to appear :- * Candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university. * Candidates age must be between 21-32 years as on 1st August of year of appearing with relaxation for reserved category. So you can appear. The application form for the examination will be available from the last week of April. The notification for the 2016 examination is available at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the civil services examination conducted by the UPSC every year. The examination is among the toughest examination.
The eligibility to appear for the examination is :- * Candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university. * Candidates age must be be between 21-32 years for the open category. Eligibility criteria to appear in civil services exams:
Applicants must have completed there graduation from recognised university with at least 50% marks. Age should be 21-30 years and relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit is given to candidates of reserved categories. |

In 2015, the Union public Service commission changed the age limit for the candidates of different category and according to which a candidate must attain the minimum age of 21 years on 1st of August of year of examination and the upper age limit on 1st August for general category is 32 years.
Your date of birth is 15/06/1985 which means you will be 31 years and one month on 1st August of 2016, so you can apply for the 2016 Civil Services examination. The date of notification for 2016 UPSC Civil Services exam is 23/04/2016 and after that you can apply for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in. Now, Civil Services aptitude test paper is made qualifying. |

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission.
UPSC conducts civil services examination such as IAS,IPS,IES,IFS and others every year to recruit candidates at various posts in Indian Government. Eligibility criteria to appear in civil services examination are -Candidate must be a citizen of India. -Candidate must be of age minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years. -Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC and ST are applicable. -Candidate must hold Bachelor's degree with minimum of 45% marks in any disciple from recognized university. -Educational eligibility very according as the IAS,IFS,ISS ,IES... Also, number of attempts are limited to 4 for general category , 6 for OBC and no limit for SC and ST. |

Since you are worried only about the age criteria lets limit ou discussion to that itself.
AGE CRITERIA- Lower Limit- 21 years as on 1st August of the year in which exam is to be held. Upper limit- 32 for the general candidates 35 for the OBC's 37 for SC's and ST's 42 for physically handicapped Now you age will be 31 years complete in august 2016 so are eligible for the CIVIL services exam. but that will be your last chance to appear for the exam because by the next year you will exceed the age limit of 32 years by one month. |

Yes, you ate eligible to appear for the civil services examination conducted by the UPSC according to the age criteria.
The required eligibility to appear for the examination is candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university and have the age between the 21-32 years being the open category candidates. The examination is conducted in the three stages as Preliminary, Mains and the Interview. The application for the 2016 examination will be available from the April. Recently, CSAT Exam (Preliminary Exam) of Civil Services Exam was conducted on 23 August, 2015.
And, Mains exam will be conducted on 18 December, 2015. To be eligible for applying Civil Services Exam, you must be eligible and satisfy Age Criteria. Yes you are eligible for UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exam.
Age limit should between 21 to 30 years for general category. For OBC candidates age should between 21 to 33 years. For SC/ST candidates age should between 21 to 35 years. |

Yes, you are eligible for the Civil Services exam because the upper age limit for general category from 2015 is 32 years on 1st of August of year of examination.
For OBC and SC/ST category it is 35 years and 37 years respectively. Any graduate who satisfies this age limit can apply for the exam. The notification for 2016 CSE will be released on 23rd of April, 2016. |

You don't need to worry about your eligibility for civil services exam. Earlier, the maximum age with which a candidate of General category can apply for Civil services exam is 30 years but now it is 32 years.
As per your date of birth, you will be completing 32 years of age by 15-06-2017. It clearly shows that you are eligible to apply for civil services exam for the year 2016. Below is the complete eligibility criteria required for the candidates to apply for this exam. The nationality of the candidate should be India. The candidate should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university with any of the percentage of marks. Candidates who have appeared for final year exams of the Graduation and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam provided that they should be able to provide the completion of Graduation certification by the time they appear for Interview. As per age criteria, the candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-32 years to apply for civil services exam. Relaxation will be provided in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. As per the number of attempts, For General category : Maximum of 6 attempts For OBC category : Maximum of 9 attempts For SC/ST category :No limit on number of attempts This civil services examination will be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year to recruit the candidates into various civil services like IAS - Indian Administrative Service IPS - Indian Police Service IFS - Indian Foreign Service IRS - Indian Revenue Services etc. For this academic year, the last date to apply for civil services examination was already over. There is no notification from UPSC regarding civil services examination for the year 2016. We can expect that it will be released in the month of April or May in 2016.
