Re: Can I appear for UPSC exams 2019 if I attain the age of 32 years before 1st August 2019?
Civil Services examination is held by UPSC once every year for recruitment of administrative officers like IAS, IPS, IFS, etc. .
As far as you are concerned about the age limit for appearing in Civil Services examination 2019 then it is 21 years to 32 years by the 1st August 2019 for general category candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. So as you have mentioned that your age will exceed 32 years by the 1st August 2019 hence you are not eligible for appearing in Civi Services examination 2019. Re: Can I appear for UPSC exams 2019 if I attain the age of 32 years before 1st August 2019?
For a general category candidates basically in civil services examination restriction will be made on the candidate in 2 ways.
1.Number of attempts 2.Age criteria. Even if the candidate has required qualification and required age, a candidate will not be eligible for applying if the number of attempts exceeds 4(for general category candidates only). Second criteria is age and for the general category candidates the maximum age is 32 years and for other category candidates there will be age relaxation as per norms. But in your case you are not eligible for attempting the civil services examination as you have not met the required age criteria. |
