I am 28 yrs married female.I was born on 11-June-1982

I did my 12th in 2000(C.B.S.E Board-63% Biology).But due to some personal problems i could not get enrolled for graduation.I continued to work in private company after 12th itself.But then i got enrolled in Rajarshi Tandon Open University,Allahabad in B.A in 2004.But due to non availability of leaves for examinations and hectic working hours i was able to complete my graduation in 2010 only.

I want to know that with my above mentioned academic records can i appear in Civil services.As it took me 6 years to complete my graduation, is it possible to appear in IAS & PCS examinations.If yes,please guide me when are the forms for the above said exams are published and how can i proceed for the same.

Please guide me also for the preparation of the above said exams.

My subjects in graduation were

Sociology
History

Your academics are good enough and you are certainly eligible for the next UPSC examination.
But you have got relatively less time.
The age limit for appearing civil services examination is as follow
GEN-30 years,
OBC-(30+3) years
SC/ST-(30+5) years
So if you are in GEN category then you have only two attempts remaining.
You would be having more attempts if you are from other than GEN category.
However, I would say that if you prepare well then it would be possible to qualify. As you are married so , i can understand that it might be difficult for you. But I think if you are sincere enough for UPSC then your family should sacrifice little bit for you. Without family support it's very difficult.

You need to give your most of time in nothing but studies. Your graduation subjects are good for CS examination. You can opt the same for mains exam.
The UPSC notification will be published after NOV. So you should hurry now.

yes ,you are eligible for IAS exam as the maximum age limit is upto 30 years.the gap of 6 years will not matter as yu have completed your graduation with good percentage.the forms will be available in december and will be collected through various post offices throughout the country.

There is no standard set by UPSC regarding the time taken to complete the bachelor degree programme. So, if you are a graduate, you are eligible for civil service examination.
The minimum eligible age for general candidate is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years. Relaxation of age for candidate belonging to OBC category is 3 years and for candidate belonging to SC/ST category is 5 years.
Civil Service examination is conducted every year by UPSC(union public service commission). Candidate needs to face three phases of the examination.

1. Preliminary examination-conducted during the second half of may.
In the preliminary exam, you will have to write two papers.
General studies
Optional Paper

Following is the list of optional subject
Psychology, Agriculture ,Botany, Commerce, Economics, Geography, IndianHistory ,Law, Civil Engineering ,Mathematics ,Mechanical Engineering Medical Science, Philosophy ,Physics ,Electrical Engineering ,Political Science ,Geology ,Public Administration, Sociology, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science ,Chemistry , Statistics .

After qualifying preliminary examination, you will need to appear for
2. Main examination- conducted during the month of oct/nov

In the main exam, you will have to appear for the following subjects
Modern Indian Language, General English, Essay, General Studies and optional subjects.
After successful performance in the main exam, you will be called for an interview.

You are still eligible for this exam .Because age limit for this eam is must in between 21 to 30 yrs.After completing graduation .So you can apply for it.

YES YOU are eligible for both 2012,2013 and but till 2013.. not later than that so try to crack the exam as soon as possible ...

For UPSC Exam

Candidate must have attained 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years....at the time of examination.....

• There is no relaxation in lower limit but there is relaxation for upper age limit..

The age limit to appear for the exam is 21-30 years for general. 21-33 for OBC students.
21-35 for SC,ST candidates.. so you are still eligible for the exam.. The educational gap of 6 years doesn't matter..
