Re: What is the working principle of DC motors compared to AC motors?
Principle of DC motors-DC motor operation is based on simple electromagnetism principle.
In DC motor a current-carrying conductor generates a magnetic field when this is then placed in an external magnetic field it will experience a force proportional to the current in the conductor, and to the strength of the external magnetic field. Principle of AC motor- electric motor is an electromechanical device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In AC motor we can reverse field directions without having to use brushes. |
