When will be the APSC entrance exam going to be held?

Examinations The following Examinations are conducted by the APSC: Combined Competitive Examination Departmental Examinations Combined Competitive Examination As per requisition of the Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services, advertisement is generally published through print media inviting applications in prescribed form. The written examination consists of two stages: The Preliminary The Main Examination Preliminary Examination The examination consists of two papers of two hours duration each. This examination is meant to serve as screening test only. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to Main examination are not counted for determining the final selection. The questions are of multiple choice objective types: Paper Subject Marks Duration Paper-I General Studies 200 2 hours Paper-II One optional subject to be selected from the list of optional subjects 200 2 hours List of optional subjects-C.C. Exam. (Pre)-(Total-28) Agriculture Anthropology Animal Husbandry & Vety Science Botany Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Chemistry Commerce Computer Science Economics Education Electrical Engineering Electronics Fisheries Geography Geology Indian History Law Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science Psychology Sociology Statistics Zoology Main Examination and Interview The Main Examination consists of a written Examination and a viva-voce test as below: Candidates who are declared qualified in the Main Examination shall be summoned for a viva-voce test. The viva-voce test carries 200 marks with no qualifying marks. The written examination consists of the following papers of 3 hours duration each. The questions of the Main Examination will be conventional essay type: Paper Subject Marks Duration Paper-I General English 300 3 hours Paper-II General Studies 300 3 hours Paper-III (a & b) Any two optional subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject (two papers each) 200 2 hours 200 2 hours Paper-IV (a & b) Any two optional subjects to be selected from the list of optional subject (two papers each) 200 2 hours 200 2 hours Total 6 1400 14 hours List of optional subjects-C.C. Science Of the Engineering subjects not more than one subject The Commission has discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the Examination. Interview Test: Marks 200 The candidates are interviewed by a Board which takes into account their academic career. The marks scored in the interview are added to the marks scored in the written examination (Main) and the rankings of the candidates are determined on the basis of the total marks obtained. Departmental Examinations The APSC also has to conduct Departmental Examinations in every six month for different categories of Govt. officers including All India Service Officers serving under the Govt. of Assam. For this purpose, APSC advertises seeking applications from the intending candidates through all leading news papers of Assam. Reservation The percentage of reservations as prescribed by the Govt. of Assam are as follows: Serial Category Percentage 1 S.C. 7% 2 STP 10% 3 STH 5% 4 OBC/MOBC 27% 5 Physically Handicapped 3% (subject to condition prescribed by the Govt.) 6 Women 30% (against reserved and unreserved categories) BEST OF LUCK.......... |

www.apsc.nic.in APSC Combined Competitive Preliminary Exam Admit Card 2013.APSC Preliminary Exam 2013 Admit Card is now available now for download from the Assam Public Service Commission(APSC) for the APSC Combined Competitive Preliminary 29th December 2013. The APSC Preliminary Exam 2013 is taking place for recruitment of various Assam Civil Services jobs which are going to filled by APSC Recruitment 2013. Assam Public Service Commission is now providing the APSC Preliminary Exam 2013 Admit Card available on Assam Public Service Commission Official Website www.apsc.nic.in. Huge number of candidates have submitted their applications to Assam Public Service Commission(APSC) for the APSC Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination on 29-12-2013. Candidates should download the APSC Preliminary Exam 2013 Admit Card at the time for Written Examination. Candidates will not allowed to appear for the APSC Combined Competitive Preliminary Exam 2013 unless entering to the Examination Centre with APSC Combined Competitive Preliminary Exam Admit Card 2013.
