hii!!! i want to prepare for nift exam 2015.... i want to know whether 12th marks are considered for ranking in merit list....if so what is the weightage for 12th marks and entance exam? i wanna join B.Des course..... Ain't much of an artist...

12th marks are not counted in the merit list of NIFT entrance exam. Therefore, you shouldn't worry about your 12th marks and concentrate on the entrance exam because selection will be based on the marks obtained in it.

You need only 50% marks in 12th class to become eligible for NIFT entrance exam. There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidates who belong to reserved category. Therefore. it is clear that 12th only serves as the eligibility criteria and it will not have any weightage in final merit.

NIFT has three written tests:
1. GAT (General Ability Test)
2. CAT (Creative Ability Test)
3. MAT (Managerial Ability Test)

NIFT conducts entrance exam for admission in any course.
Class 12th marks are not considered for ranking in merit list of NIFT Examination.

Eligibility:
1. Age: 17 to 23 years of age.

2. Candidates should have passed 10+2 level examination from any recognized Board/University.
