The eligibility criteria for the post of a driver in the Indian Railways may vary depending on the specific requirements set by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) or the zonal railway authorities. Typically, the eligibility criteria for the driver post include:
Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for the driver post is generally 10th standard or equivalent. However, it's important to note that some specific divisions or zones may have additional requirements. Age Limit: The age limit for the driver post is usually between 18 and 33 years. However, age relaxations may be provided for reserved category candidates as per government norms. Physical Fitness: Candidates applying for the driver post need to meet certain physical fitness standards, including visual acuity, hearing ability, and overall physical health. Specific medical standards are set to ensure the safety of the candidates and the passengers. |
