Re: Am I eligible to apply for IAS exam after completing ICAI program?
Yes, you can apply after completing CA course.
Age limit to apply for this exam is 21 to 30 years. This exam is conducted by UPSC, it has three stages, prelims, mains and interview. Prelims is held in August. If you clear prelims, then you can apply for mains exam after that you have Interview round. Overall, around 900 candidates are selected in this exam. IAS is allotted for candidates having rank in top 200. Notification for next prelims will come in March/April. |

Re: Am I eligible to apply for IAS exam after completing ICAI program?
CA (Chartered Accountancy) is equivalent to a Graduation degree and you are definitely eligible for IAS or Civil Services Exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.
Therefore, you shouldn't worry about anything and start preparing for the exam because selection is purely based on merit. The exam has CSAT, Mains Exam and Interview stages. You must score top marks in these stages then only you will be able to become an IAS officer. For more information visit http://upsc.gov.in |
