Judiciary can only be a worthwhile option , for those like you with an inclination towards the Public Service / trapping of the state Authority .
If offers the satisfaction of working for the good of society-an intellectually simulating profession where you shall command the respect of the common man . Basically there are two avenues open to become a member of Judiciary . >> Start a litigation practice and hope to get elevated to the bench . >> Other way is to participate in the competitive process for the judicial services . Usually the Judiciary services have “ TWO ENTRY LEVELS “ . I). Fresh Graduates through an entrance exam conducted by the respective state public service commissions II). High Court ( Delhi ) The second option is , you may join the judicial service as Higher Judicial Service . This service is open for lawyers with a certain prescribed minimum years of litigating practice, usually seven .You have to appear for competitive examination for entry to the Higher Judicial Service . The syllabus for the above exams include Law Subjects along with english , General Knowledge , Local language of the state . There is a good scope in Judiciary .And the various posts are giving you below -- → Magistrate → District and Sessions Judge → Sub-Magistrate → Public Prosecutor → Attorney General → Solicitors → Advocate General → Notary → Oath Commissioner Qualified candidates of law service commission or state public service commission are also eligible for appointment as Magistrate and sub magistrate .
