how to become officer in income tax department after doing b.com and how much percentage is required for that in graduation.. is there any benefit for obc student...

Income tax officer is who deals with the income tax related matters of the Central Board of Direct Taxes , a central department of India.
Income tax is one of the important source of income that the government has to spend on the developmental works , therefore it become important that the tax could be collected properly so that the developmental works of the government could be continued .
To be eligible for the exam , you must have minimum of Graduation from a recognized university .Soyou need to write an entrance exam called “” STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION “” .

SELECTION PROCESS :

> Written Test
> Oral Exam

You must follow the below eligibility criteria before applying:
You must have obtained Bachelor Degree from a recognized university . As you have it no need to worry.
The lower age limit is of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination . And must not have attained the age of 27 years on the date .

FOR OBC CANDIDATES :

There is an age relaxation for the OBC candidates . So the upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates .
You need to procure the Application form along with the required information from the employment news paper generally . This can be published in the Month of “” APRIL “” .

Preliminary Examination :

>> General Intelligence and General Awareness Part A -- 100 Q -- 100 Marks -- 2 hours
>> Arithmetic ( Part B ) -- 100 Q -- 100 Marks -- 2 Hours

Main Examination :

>> General Studies -- 200 Marks -- 3 Hours
>> English -- 100 Marks -- 2 Hr.20 Min
>> Arithmetic -- 200 Marks -- 4 Hours
>> Language -- 100 Marks -- 2 Hr.20 Min
>> Communication Skill and writing -- 200 Marks -- 2 Hr.20 Min

So once you clear the main examination , you will be called for the Interview . The Aspirants are grilled in the Interview to test their personality and Mental Ability .

So then the final list of the successful candidates is prepared . This is how you can start the preparation.
