Sir,
please send me the details regarding the procedure to become drug inspector and food inspector. I have completed B.Pharmacy and want to prepare for drug inspector post.

Drug Inspector and Food Inspector are recruited by State Public Service Commission Examination and you need to have a Graduate Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University to become eligible for it.

One must having Bachelor's Degree in any one of the following subjects to becoming eligible for Drug Inspector and Food Inspector exam.

1. Pharmacy ( 4 years course )

2. Medicine with Specialization Clinical Pharmacology

3. Microbiology

4. Food Technology

One must also have experience of working in a certified drug testing lab. You have to qualify a written examination and interview to become eligible for appointment.

The written exam will test your knowledge and skills related to your field and you must have good academic record.

Every State conduct their own exam and syllabus may vary and also in some case eligibility criteria may also change.

To join in as a Drug Inspector the qualification which you need are:

>> The candidate should have a Citizenship in India.

>> Age limit needed is that the candidate should have 21-32 years

>> Education qualification needed for the exam is that the candidate should have completed Bachelor degree in Pharmacy(B.Pharm) or Pharmaceutical Sciences of Medicine.


Regarding for Food inspector post the qualification which you need are:

>> Candidate should have a Citizenship in India.

>> The age limit which is needed is that candidate should have 18-25 years of age.

>> To tell about the education qualification which is needed it is that the candidate should have completed graduation in medicine or have a bachelors degree in agriculture, pharmacy, food technology and dairy technology.

Drug Inspector- Candidates must have a degree in Pharmacy or Medicine are eligible for Drug Inspector.

Age limit Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years

A Drug Inspector is a professional in the field of Pharmacy .

*Food Inspector

Candidates must have a graduation degree in any stream are eligible for Food Inspector.
