Hello, I am a MCA student and I am in my last semester. I want to appear in JTO exam. Since many people said that only engineering students can give JTO exam. I have searched a lot online but haven’t get the proper eligibility criteria. So, can you tell me the eligibility criteria for me?

Eligibility Criteria Required to appear in JTO Examination:

You have mentioned that you are a MCA candidate but whether you are eligible to apply for this recruitment or not basically depends upon your Bachelor's Degree course. Yes, if you have pursued B.Tech/ B.E before pursuing MCA course then you will be eligible to apply for this recruitment on the basis of your Graduation course. On the other side, if you are from non B.E/ B.Tech background before pursuing MCA course then you may not be eligible. Here is the detailed educational qualification required.

>> Candidates must have completed their B.E/ B.Tech in any of the below streams or M.Sc in Computer Science or Electronics from a recognized university.
* Telecom
* Radio
* Computer Science
* Information Technology
* Electronics
* Electrical Engineering

>> The minimum age required is 18 years and maximum age must not exceed 30 years in order to be eligible for this recruitment.

Candidates who have completed their graduation in engineering/technology in the field of computer/electrical/electronics/IT/radio/telecommunication are eligible for JTO examination. The age of the candidate should be in between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation will be applicable on SC/ST and OBC candidates which is 5 years and 3 years respectively. For PWD candidates it is 10 years. Only Indian citizens are allowed. So, if you fulfill the above eligibility criteria then you can apply for JTO examination.
