Re: Eligibility for UPSC Examination 2022
The first thing I would like to let you know is that UPSC refers to Union Public Service Commission and as the name suggests it is commission ( rather than an examination ) that conducts several examinations for recruitment of Central Government Personnel in different sectors.
Meanwhile, generally the term UPSC examination is used to refer to the Civil Services examination held by UPSC and the age criteria for the same examination suggests that the age of candidate must be within 21 years to 32 years by the 1st August of the year in which the examination is being held for unreserved category candidates. Further, there is provision of upper age limit relaxation in case of reserved category candidates as per the government norms. So, being born on 20th October 1987, you are eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination 2022 only if you belong to reserved category otherwise not. For complete details regarding the Civil Services examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in. |
