How to calculate age for UPSC exam?
My dob is March 2000, am I eligible for upsc forum 2022? How to calculate my age for the same?

The age limit is calculated from the 01st August of year of appearing for the examination.
So, you are eligible to appear for 2022 examination. The examination is conducted in three stages and you have to appear and qualify in all stages for the final selection. For more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

You can calculate the age from the cut off date of 01st August 2022.
Age limit for UPSC CSE :- General - 21-32 years. OBC - 21-35 years. SC/ST - 21-37 years. So, you can't appear for the examination. To get more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

The age limit for appearing in the Civil Services examination held by UPSC examination ( and hence popularly known as UPSC examination) is 21 years to 32 years as on 1st August of the year which the examination is being held. Further, there is provision of age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved category as per the government norms.
So, being born in March 2000, you are definitely eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination 2022 (as far as the age criteria for the same examination is concerned) as your age is within 21 years to 32 years by 01.08.2022. The minimum age required for UPSC exam is 21 years and maximum 32 years.
UPSC Calculates age as of 1st Aug of the year in which the exam is conducted ,So for the 2022 civil services exam you should be above 21years of age 1st Aug 2022. |

Candidates have to calculate their age as per UPSC rules. UPSC calculates the age of the year in which the examination is held on 1st August. So, for the 2022 Civil Service Exam, you must be above 21 years of age on 1st August 2022. Even the upper age is calculated as 1st August. Therefore, as of 1st August 2022, you should not be more than 32 years of age.
