hello
i have seen that the short list of ibps
clerk exam will be based on merit.
what that means? it will depend on the
graduation marks or ibps exam marks
plz any one tell me.........

No, IBPS does not prepare Merit list based on Graduation marks while evaluating marks of a candidates and of course for final selection. Yes, generally selection and placing in a bank takes place only on the basis of Merit (Performance in Online Examination and Interview). Yes, graduation marks are no where considered for a candidate to be selected in bank. IBPS first conducts Written Examination (Online Examination), and it short lists candidates who secure the minimum cut off in each section (Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Awareness, General English, and General Awareness). Those who secure minimum cut off marks in all the above mentioned sections and total cutoff marks, only those candidates will be called for Interview. Means those candidates who have been declared qualified in written examination will be called for Interview. Candidates final selection is purely made on the basis of performance of both in "Written (IBPS Clerk) examination and IBPS Clerk Interview".
