KSOU is a recognized distance education University and you are definitely eligible for the Indian Statistical Exam which is conducted by UPSC.

There is no percentage criteria for this exam and you need only pass marks in your Graduation from a recognized University.

The age limit for this exam is 21 to 30 years for General category candidates. There is age relaxation available for reserved category candidates.

SC/ST : 5 years relaxation
OBC : 3 years relaxation
PWD : 10 years relaxation

If you have completed M.Sc in Statistics from KSOU then you are eligible for Indian Statistical Service exam because KSOU is approved by UGC.I have attached the document of UGC approval of KSOU.

If you have completed bachelor’s degree with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University/ College/ Institutions then you are eligible for Indian Statistical Service exam.

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which are as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

Pattern for Indian Statistical Service exam:-

General English - 100 marks
General Studies - 100 marks
Statistics - I - 200 marks
Statistics - II - 200 marks
Statistics - III - 200 marks
Statistics - IV - 200 marks
