Qualification required to become an SP? Competitive exams and physical requirement?
I have completed my B.Pharm and want to join this post, what i have to do for this? is there is any competitive exam for this post? is there is any physical test for this post? where i will get the satisfactory information?

Your B.Pharma qualification is sufficient to appear for Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC.
Candidates after qualifying in the examination will become eligible for recruitment as an I.P.S Officer. The examination is conducted in three stages. For detail information about the required physical standard go through the notification available at official website www.upsc.gov.in. |

To become Supreintendent of Police , you have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination.
The required educational qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit is 21-32 years and relaxation for reserved category. So, you can appear for the examination. Proper strategy and preparation is mandatory to qualify in the examination. Candidate must have the required physical standard such as BMI, Eye sight etc. To get information in detail go through notification available at official website www.upsc.gov.in. |

The applicant must graduate from 10+2 from a recognized board and pursue a Bachelor’s degree in any field, from a recognized university or college. This is a minimum academic requirement to become S.P.
The student has three options that he or she can choose from. 1- The first option is to appear for the UPSC CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) and score a rank above 100. 2- The second option for students is to appear and clear their State Public Service Commission Examination. 3- The third option is Sub Inspector Entry in your State Police Department. |

Eligibility
One must have passed in SSLC exam and male candidates of age between 18- 30 yrs are eligible. Selection is based on written exam and interview and other standard such as Physical Standard Height 172 cm weight 52 kg Eyesight etc 6/6 Physical efficiency test Medical fitness check. They must have appeared for delayed defence entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice a year. |

Qualification required to become an SP? Competitive exams and physical requirement?
A candidate who wants to become SP or Superintendent of Police, must have at least a graduate degree from any recognized university in any stream, only then the candidate may be eligible for further processing. Candidates should be fit physically and mentally. Minimum height for men should be 165 cm. The minimum height for women should be 150 cm. The chest of the male candidate should be 84 cm. Examination; UPSC. |

You have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination for the final selection as SP ( I.P.S ).
The age is conducted in 21-32 years and relaxation for reserved category. There is no physical test but physical fitness is mandatory for the final selection. Detail information is available at official website www.upsc.gov.in. |

Eligibility criteria required to apply for SP is Candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidate age must lie between between 21 years to 30 years. For OBC candidates the age limit is relaxed by 3 years and for SC/ST candidates it is 7 years.
> Minimum height should be 165 cms for men and 150 cms for women. After your graduation you have to appear for the civil services examination conducted by UPSC every year. Hence, if you qualify in the examination then you will be called for physical test followed by personal interview for the selection. |
