Hello everyone, I have applied for the UPSC Forest Service IFS Exam for this year. I just want to know how I can get selected through this examination. I want to get selected in my first attempt. So, please tell me about the procedure of selection. Waiting for your response!

Selection Procedure of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Forest Service IFS (Indian Forest Services) Exam 2021 will be based on Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the screening & selection of candidates for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview).

The selection procedure for recruitment of Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officers through IFS Examination 2021 held by UPSC are as below :-

--> Preliminary Test (MCQs based).

--> Main Examination (Descriptive Type Written Examination followed by Interview (Personality Test)).

--> Preliminary Examination is only qualifying in nature and is meant for just screening out of candidates for appearing in the Main Examination.

Selection procedure through UPSC Forest Service IFS Exam 2021 are;

1. Preliminary Exam
2. Main Exam
3. Interview
4. Merit list

Selection is done after qualifying in all three stages of examination.

The three stages are :- Preliminary , Mains and Interview.

Preliminary examination for Forest Service is along with Civil Service examination.

There will be seperate Mains examination and Personality Test for Forest Service.

Paper 1- 200 marks
Paper 2 - 200 marks

There will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
