Stenography is the combination of two courses- SHORTHAND and TYPEWRITING. These two courses go hand in hand. It is an Non-Engineering trade.

BASIC QUALIFICATION :

(i) Candidate should pass 10th class with English as cognate subject and Should have Proficiency in English.

* Duration of course is 1 year full time.

* Subjects to studied during the course are :

(i) Stenography Trade Theory.

(ii) Stenography Trade Practical.

(iii) Employability skills.

(iv) IT literacy.

By the end of the course, the Candidate will acquire the speed of 80/30 w.p.m and 100/40 w.p.m in shorthand and Typing respectively. He/She will also have thorough knowledge on computer fundamentals, Operating system, MS WORD, MS-EXCEL, MS POWERPOINT, windows, Introduction to Networking(LAN, MAN, WAN and Internet).

He/She can operate Typewriter, FAX Machine, Xerox Machine, Page Maker etc independently.

One can get employed as Secretary, Stenographer, clerk-cum typist in private and public sector, Executives of private companies and Advocates. Can set up Typing institute under self employment

It is very easy to learn and there is no hardness in it, if a person is interested.
