I want to be a Vigilence Officer. I have just completed my graduation in Engineering. So tell me about the qualification required for applying for the post?

Qualification required to apply for Vigilance Officer post :

• Candidate must have passed graduation from any recognised university.
• There is no minimum percentage criteria.

Candidate have to appear in SSC-CGL exam in order to join Vigilance Officer post.

Age Limit :
Age of candidate must be from 21 to 30 years. Relaxation in age is also there as per government norms.

If you have completed 12th standard or graduation degree then you are eligible for Vigilence Officer post exam but you age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

Exam pattern of Vigilence Officer post exam:-

1. General Knowledge

100 questions of SSLC Standard. Questions will be English and Tamil.

2. General Tamil/General English

100 questions of SSLC Standard. Questions will be English and Tamil.

Educational Qualification required to apply for Vigilance Officer Post:

1) The basic educational qualification required to be eligible for Vigilance Officer post is "Graduate Degree" or Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2) Since you have completed Bachelor Degree in Engineering, I am sure you are certainly eligible to apply for Vigilance Officer post.

3) You are required to appear in UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Examination in order to become Vigilance Officer.

4) I suggest you to appear in UPSC Examination to become Vigilance Officer.

For becoming a vigilance officer you need to appear for UPSC civil services exam for which graduation is the minimum qualification required which you already have. Therefore, no need to worry but make sure that your age is between 21 to 30 years.

There will be preliminary exam and candidates will be shortlisted for main exam on the basis of prelims. Then there will be interview stage also which will be crucial for selection. Therefore, just be prepared according to the syllabus of UPSC.

To become Vigilence officer, one should write the combined graduate level exam conducted by staff selection commission.

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

* Candidate age should be in the range of 21-30 years.

* Age relaxation is applicable as per norms.

* Candidate should possess graduation or equivalent in Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer science/ Mechanical from any recognized university or institution.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

* Written exam.

* Personal Interview.
