Re: What should I do to join Indian Navy being a Commerce student?
Sorry, to say that you are not eligible to join Indian Navy being a Commerce student. To join Indian Navy, you have to appear in UPSC NDA examination. You should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board and you should be in between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age to be eligible to apply for NDA examination. Since, you have not pursued Physics and Mathematics subjects in your 12th standard being a Commerce student, you are not eligible to join Indian Navy.

Being a Commerce student, you are not eligible to join Indian Army because to join Indian Army candidate must have completed 12th standard with PCM from a recognised board. And being a Commerce student you can join Indian Army through NDA entrance examination. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to appear in NDA entrance exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year in the month of April and September.

Re: What should I do to join Indian Navy being a Commerce student?
In order to join Indian Navy, there are several ways. In general, candidates who are done with 12th Class are eligible to appear in NDA recruitment Examination. On the other side, candidates who are done with Bachelor Degree or Graduation are eligible to appear in Combined Defence Services (CDS) recruitment Examination.
>> As you are done with 12th Class, you are requested to check the eligibility criteria that is required for appearing in NDA Entrance Examination. >> In general, to be eligible for Indian Navy wing of NDA you are required to meet the following criteria. You must have completed 12th Class with Physics and Mathematics as the subjects then you are certainly eligible. So make sure you are done with the subjects and if you don't meet the required criteria then you may not be eligible. |

Re: What should I do to join Indian Navy being a Commerce student?
A commerce student doesn't have much opportunity in defence field. You are currently not eligible for any post of the Indian Navy according to the current openings. However you can still join Indian Navy through there
1. MR (matric recruit) Examination process, Know more by clickinghere 2. Through Civilian Recruitment Process. Know More by clicking here However there is not much opportunity for a commerce student in the navy so you should focus somewhere else, or you have to change your 12th subject stream. |
