Can I appear for IAS exam, if I have graduation and not HSC?
I have pursued graduation from open university after 10th. I have no 12th passing certificate.

Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC.
The eligibility is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. So, if you have passed from a recognised open university than eligible for appearing in the examination. The age limit is 21-32 years. Relaxation for reserved category. Graduation without 12th or equivalent qualification is not valid.
So, if you have not any other equivalent qualification than not eligible to appear for the examination. Graduation from open university is valid to appear for the examination. For more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

The minimum educational qualification required to appear in civil services examination that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission is graduation in any discipline from a recognised Institute and University.
If you have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognised Institute Or University then you are very much eligible to appear in an IAS examination. Official website http://www.upsc.gov.in |

For becoming an IAS officer, students must follow civil Service Exam..
There are 3 stages under selection process Few posts include Collector District Magistrate Chief Development Officer Executive Magistrate etc.. Basic Eligibility is graduate degree from recognised university... CSE preparation can be done after 12th |

°°° Of course, you are eligible to appear in civil services examination for the post of an IAS after completion of the graduation because as per the minimum educational qualification required to appear in civil services examination, the candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.

Yes, you can appear. Final year students can also sit for the UPSC prelims exam.
The passing of the final year exam should render the candidates eligible for the UPSC civil services exam. It should be a graduation-level degree from a recognised university. |

Eligibility for IAS exam:-
> Candidate must be citizen of India. > Candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from any of the recognised universities. > candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and awaiting results for those who are yet to appear for the qualifying examination rules are eligible for preliminary such candidates have to produce proof of passing the said examination hello with the application for the main examination. > Candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognised by the government or its equivalent are also eligible to apply. |

Any degree (graduation) it may be regular or distant .
The candidate must hold a degree of any university incorporated by an act of Central or state register in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification. |
