I've given my 12th board exams from west bengal. And planning to do bachelors in chemistry.after that i want to pursue in forensic science and be a foresic expert.i would like to ask from the experts if this career planning can work for me..i would also like to know the courses , course duration and colleges. Please let me know the career scope also.thank you.

Candidates should have a background with science subjects to make a career in Forensic Science. Since, you are interested to make you are career in Forensic science, it is better for you to pursue B.Sc in Forensic Science instead of B.Sc in Chemistry. Those who have completed 12th standard in Science stream are eligible to apply for B.Sc in Forensic Science. It is an added advantage if you start learning about forest science from Graduation level. You can easily grab knowledge about Forensic science.

M.Sc in Forensic Science is Master Degree Level course. The duration of the course is two years which is splitted into four years. The minimum educational qualification needed for M.Sc in Forensic Science is a Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicine etc. with 50% of marks from a recognized university. The admission to the course is based on the entrance exam conducted by the respective university.
