I have heard that the name of KSOU has been removed from the list of ugc. It means the ksou don't have the approval of UGC. So i want to know is this university is still listed under UGC act or not?

As far as my knowledge is concerned, Karnataka State Open University is "De-Recognized" by the University Grants Commission. Yes, UGC has derecognized Karnataka State Open University for offering programs through distance leaning by Blatantly Flouting the norms". This has been after the issue of show cause notice to Karnataka State Open University on 10th June 2011. Since KSOU violated the norms given by University Grants Commission, and of the UGC policy on territorial jurisdiction vide KSOU has been derecognized. The University Grants Commission has clearly stated that it has not recognized the courses extended by the KSOU university beyond 2012-13.

Yes, Karnataka state open university is recognized under UGC.

No, it has not been removed from the list of UGC.

All technical and professional courses offered by KSOU are again de-recognized by the UGC.

Yes, Karnataka State Open University is listed under UGC Act.
