The main difference is that if you give UPCPMT you will be eligible for admission to the various colleges in UP but you will not be able to take admission to AIIMS and other such Colleges.
If you appear in NEET it will cover almost all the Government Colleges in India for the courses of Medicine. It is best for you to appear in NEET as it covers a lot of Colleges. |

NEET is the National Eligibility cum Entrance test. This exam was earlier conducted by the CBSE for undergraduate medical courses like MBBS or BDS etc. But now this exam is replaced by the All India Pre Medical Test.
AIPMT is a national level test for selection of candidates into government medical colleges for undergraduate medical courses like MBBS or BDS. On the other hand UP CPMT is the Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test. This is conducted by the state government of Uttar Pradesh. It is conducted for various courses like BAMS, MBBS, BHMS, BDS, BUMS etc. |

NEET is an all India level medical entrance exam conducted by CBSE whereas UPCPMT is a state level medical entrance exam for admission in medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
Therefore, if you want admission in Uttar Pradesh then best option will be UPCPMT where most of the seats are reserved for UP domicile candidates. In NEET you can get admission anywhere in India in a central government medical college through counselling and there is no issue of domicile with any Indian citizen eligible. |
