Re: What is the difference between AIPMT and NEET?
Hello sir,
The Difference between AIPMT and NEET NEET means National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) AIPMT means All India Pre-Medical/Dental Test Sameer Phale, a lecturerat Ambedkar College (Deekshabhoomi), said, "The biggest difference between the two are the number of papers. In AIPMT, students had to appear for the prelims first and the successful ones proceeded for mains on the basis of which admissions were done. NEET however will have only one paper scheduled, after which the admissions will take place." Mainstream IIT coaching centres too have started batches in the medical stream with the new format coming in, and some believe that there will be a qualitative difference as well. Abhishek Bansal, who manages a Kota-based IIT coaching centre, said, "According to our analysis, NEET will be way tougher than AIPMT and have started coaching accordingly. AIPMT NEET Number of exams 2 - prelims & main 1 Negative marking Yes No Seat quota 15% national 100% (15% national & 85% state) No of questions 200 in prelims & 120 in main 180 |

Re: What is the difference between AIPMT and NEET?
Hello friend ,
Firstly , NEET stand for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) and AIPMT stand for All India Pre-Medical/Dental Test. NEET is expected to be very different from the AIPMT. One of the major differences between the two exams is the number of papers. In AIPMT, students appear for the prelims first. After clearing the prelims the students proceed for the mains on the basis of which admissions were done. However, NEET has only one paper. The admissions will take place directly after clearing one exam. Secondly, preparing for NEET is going to be very different from AIPMT since the exact paper pattern is unknown as it is being conducted for the first time. As a result, there are no preparation tips available for NEET unlike AIPMT. Thirdly, one of the major differences between these two exams is allocation of seats. NEET will be held for 100% seats for all medical colleges across the country. It is categorized into 2 merit lists. The major portion (85%) is for state quota and the minor portion (15%) is for national quota. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU .. GOOD LUCK .... |
