How can i prepare and apply on Indian army after 12th or after graduation .
please give advice for me.? I need to know if it is necessary to complete graduation course or not. It will be helpful if you can answer me soon as possible.

Procedure followed to apply for Indian Army after completion of 12th :-

Through NDA exam.

UPSC conducts NDA (National Defense Academy) exam every year to recruit personnel in the different wings of Indian Army.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam are as under :-

-The candidate must be a citizen of India.

-The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19 years.

-Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam.

-The qualification required to join NDA is 12th class of 10+2 education system from a recognized board for Indian Military Academy and 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

-The selection process involves

*Written Examination

* Personal Interview by Service Selection Board

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards required to join NDA.

-The Written exam constitutes of 2 subjects,

* Maths -300 marks

* General Ability Test-600 marks

The time duration for the written exam is 2 1/2 hours.

UPSC conducts CDSE(Combined Defense Services Exam) every year for recruitment in different wings of Indian Army.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:-

- Nationality : Indian.

- Educational Qualification:

Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy-Graduation in any discipline.

Indian Naval Academy-Bachelor of Engineering.

Indian Air Force Academy-10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.

-Age limit:

Indian Military Academy- 19 years to 24 years

Indian Naval Academy-19 years to 22 years

Indian Air Force Academy-19 years to 23 years

Officer's Training Academy-19 years to 25 years

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards for admission to CDS exam.

-Selection Procedure:

*Written Exam

*Interview by Services Selection Board.

No, it is not necessary to complete your graduation, you can join Indian Army just after the completion of your 12th level of education also.

You need to however, fulfill the below mentioned requirements;

> You should be HS passed from a recognized University.

> Minimum marks should be 60% in both 10th as well as 12th.

> English should be one of the main subjects in your boards, i.e. in 10th & 12th and should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in it.

> You should be a citizen of India.

> You Should be unmarried at the time of applying for the exam.

> You must not have any Physical or mental disabilities.

> Your age should be in between 16.5 - 19.5 years

> Minimum height should be 157 cms

You can opt for NDA or CDS examination in order to join Indian Army after completion of your +2 level of examination, it is not necessary to complete graduation in order to join Indian Army.

After clearing the entrance test, you will have to pass the SSB in order to get enrolled as an army personnel.

For recruitment in Indian Army after 10+2 you have to appear and qualify in NDA examination. In NDA examination only male candidates are eligible.

For recruitment after graduation degree, you have to appear and qualify in CDS examination.

Both examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year. The age limit vary for different examination. For more information about examination visit at http://www.upsc.gov.in.

You no need to wait to join in Indian Army till the completion of Graduation,after 12th only you have a option to join in Indian army through NDA exam.
