Where should i do internship being a 3rd year Mechanical student?

It is nice to see that you are aspiring for internship opportunity being in third year of Mechanical branch of engineering. You can pursue internship in :-

- PSUs like IOCL, NTPC, ONGC, SAIL, etc.
- Power Plants like Tata Power, Adani Power, etc.
- Steel Plants like Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, etc.
- Electricity Corporation of India
- Indian Railways
- Metro Railways
- Metal and Alloy Manufacturing plants like NALCO, etc.

Try to go for internship in the core sector where you get to work on your area of interest.

So, there are a lot many companies in the Bangalore as well in in Cochin that are dedicated for the internship specially to the mechanical Students.
