I am physical education teacher. My educational qualification is MA in English with 52%. My retirement comes on 31th march 2019. My BA result is 59.56% with History hons. I have a great wish to teach in any private colleges after my retirement. Can I do Ph.D.?

Since you have completed your MA course with only 52% of marks in it, you are not eligible for Ph.D course.
Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree course from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it are eligible to opt for the Ph.D course.

For Ph.D admission the minimum criteria is, masters degree with at least 55% marks. In case of reserved category, there is relaxation of 5% marks.

Hence, you can apply for Ph.D admission, if you belong to reserved category, because there is no upper limit for Ph.D admission.

As per your masters degree marks, you are not eligible for Ph.D course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.
