Can I pursue my career directly in Phd after completing my M.Ed? or is there something better which can be tried? Can you please share your experience and guide me with the right path to take? It will be really helpful if I get the answer soon on the same. Thank you.

If you have got Master's degree with 55% marks from a recognized University then surely you can apply for Ph,D admission. There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidates who belong to reserved category. Admission is mostly based on the scores obtained in the NET/SLET/JRF/GATE or entrance exam conducted by the University with interview being the second stage of selection. Those who have M.Phil qualification are also eligible for direct interview for admission in Ph.D program. Those who appear in the merit list after these stages will be selected for admission.
