SLET is State Eligibility Test for lecturer post in state government colleges. One must have a Master's Degree in respective field with 55% marks to become eligible for SLET. The Post Graduate degree should be from a recognized University and there is relaxation in marks for SC/ST, OBC and Physically handicapped candidates.

The notification for SLET Tamil Nadu is still not announced and you have to wait for it. There is no age limit for SLET exam and you must have only a Post Graduate degree. Hence, be prepared for this exam.

Last years Tamil Nadu SLET notification came in September 2013 and for 2014 there is still no news. You have to wait for the notification. Bharathiar University conducts SLET in Tamil Nadu.
