The candidates after completion of MA with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible for the PhD in the relevant subject. You should have very good interest in the subject to do PhD in it. One has to prepare well for the entrance examination and personal interview to register himself/herself for the PhD. The entrance examination mostly consists of the NET syllabus. One can make use of the previous year’s entrance question papers which are available in the internet or in the university department. The candidates who already qualified NET or SET or GATE shall be exempted from the written entrance test. The candidate with MA qualification has a good chance of doing PhD in the relevant subject.
