The candidate can apply for the assistant professor with no teaching experience in India. But the candidate must have minimum 55% in post- graduation to comply in the eligibility criteria of becoming an Assistant professor. There is 5% relaxation of marks for the candidates of reserved category.

Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University. No there is no such rule of having teaching experience to become Assistant Professor.

The qualification required is a candidate must have passed Master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate for general category and for SC/ST category it is 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
