You can apply for IFS examination through online by visiting the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in/. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IFS examination is completion of Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Detailed information regarding eligibility criteria required to appear in IFS examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have attained the age of 21 years and the maximum age should not exceed more than 32 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

3. You must have obtained Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from any recognised university.

4. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC IFS examination notification.

Procedure to Apply for IFS Examination:

IFS (Indian Forest Services) Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year for the recruitment to forestry services of India. UPSC releases IFS recruitment notification in the month of April/ May every year and apply for that recruitment in the month of June. Make sure you have scanned Photograph and Signature as per the specified sizes given below.
For Photograph - 3 KB to 40 KB size
For Signature - 1 KB to 40 KB size
Candidates are required to start making Part I registration first and there after Part II. Candidates are required to fill up the Application form there with the proper details and make the required fee of Rs.100/- either by depositing money in any SBI branch by cash or by using NET banking facility.

Minimum Educational Qualification required to Apply for IFS Exam:

>> A Bachelor's Degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Botany, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Geology, Chemistry, Statistics, Physics and Zoology or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering from a recognized university.

>> Candidates who are pursuing their Final year are also eligible to apply for IFS Examination.

Actually IFS Exam is conducted by UPSC once in every year. So you have a chance to apply only for " One time " for IFS once in a year. And the Notification for IFS is released in the month of " Feb/Mar " .

Date of Examination for IFS is " August ".

Eligibility Criteria for IFS Examination :

<> You should complete graduation from the recognized University with minimum percentage of marks with any of the below subjects in your course.

-- Physics, Maths, Chemistry , Botany, Zoology, Forest Science, Agricultural Science, Dairy Technology etc.,

<> Age should be in between 21 to 30 years as per the government rules.

<> There is a Age relaxation for the reserved candidates for various categories.

<> Final year candidates of graduation can also eligible for IFS.

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service exam. This exam is conducted by UPSC.

Every year, UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts IFS exam. You can apply for this exam through online by visiting its official website.

Eligibility Criteria:-
1. Candidate must be a citizen of India
2. Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for IFS exam.
3. Candidates age must be above 21 years and below 30 years, whereas candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation.
