SBI conducts a recruitment drive for filling the vacancies for the post of assistants and stenographers every year. Further details regarding the recruitment like qualification required, selection process, application procedure etc are detailed in the article.

Qualification details

Aspirants need to pass 12th with at least 60% marks. For reserved category applicants 55% marks is enough to apply. Else they need a graduation from any recognized University. Minimum 18 years of age is necessary to apply for this exam.

Selection Procedure

The first round of selection will be a written test. It will be an objective type test. Multiple options will be provided for each question. There will be 5 sections for this exam.

This includes

  • General Awareness
  • Reasoning Ability
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge

Questions will be printed in English and also Hindi. ¼ marks will be reduced for each wrong response. Candidates need to clear each section separately to qualify in the exam. For the post of assistants, those who will clear the written test have to face a personal interview. For the post of assistants, those who will clear the written test have to face a skill test before the personal interview. The marks of all these rounds will be taken together for preparing the rank list.

Application Procedure

Application for this recruitment has to be submitted online. The fees to be paid for the post of assistants is Rs.350/-. Those who are applying for the posts of both assistants and stenographers have to pay Rs.500/-. Those who are applying for Hindi and English exam version of both posts have to pay Rs.650/-. The fees can be paid online using credit cards, debit cards and also via internet banking. They can pay the fees offline via CBS. Applicants need to upload their digital photo and signature while applying. After submitting the application they will be provided with a registration number and password for future proceedings.
