i m interested in doing phd from microbiology.
but i m not getting any suitable topic.

research work especially in medical microbiology?????

Microbiology is a vast field especially for research. Since you are doing phd so your research should be on a topic in which you and your guide are comfortable and expertise. You should try yourself for some innovation and then can publish your own paper and patent. You should consult your guide for research topics. The general procedure followed is choosing a field followed by choosing a paper or patent in that field.
