I want to appear for NET examination under Library Science field. So tell me what is the age criteria for the NET exam?

NET stands for National Eligibility Test conducted twice by UGC.

It is conducted for two posts:

JFR : Age criteria is minimum 21 years and maximum 28 years.

Lectureship post: No age criteria

Eligibility:

A Candidate must have done masters in any field with minimum 55% marks and relaxation of 5% is given to reserved category candidates.

NET stands for "National Eligibility Test"

You must have to fulfill the age criteria for appearing in the NET exam in library Science.

Age criteria is as under for the NET exam :

** Your age should not be more than 28 years

** Relaxation in age will be given as per the government rules.

For your knowledge i want to tell you that the exam for the same is held in the month of June.

Age Criteria for NET (National Eligibility Test) Examination in Library Science:

<> For Assistant Professor:
* There is NO upper age limit for applying for the post of Assistant Professor.

<> For Junior Research Fellowship:
* Not more than 28 years
* An age relaxation is applicable for up to 5 years and provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non Creamy Layer).

Since there is no age criteria required for Assistant Professor, do need to worry if you are applying for Assistant Professor post.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by UGC.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

Marks distribution for each papers of NET Exam:-

Section 1 - 100 marks(60 questions are there)
Section 2 - 100 marks(50 questions are there)
Section 3 - 150 marks(75 questions are there)

Age Limit for UGC NET Exam:

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Applicants must not be more than 28 years AND relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the applicants belonging to SC/ST and year for OBC applicants.

Lectureship: There is no age limit required for Lectureship.

The minimum age requirement for NET examination is 21 years and the maximum age allowed for it is 28 years.

However, there is no age limit for lecturers.

I am pass M. Lib from Subharti university meerut can I apply in net exam
