Whether JRF and Ph.D are same? Whether a candidate become Professor through JRF?

Hello
Can one become a professor after
doing JRF or a PHD is necessary?
I was told that both were same.Is that true?
Please clarify it.I am really confused.
Thanks.

JRF and Ph.D are two different things and they are surely not compulsory to become a Professor. You can become a Professor even on the basis of long term experience and just a degree qualification.

Post graduation is the minimum qualification to apply for lecturer posts in colleges. If you have a Ph.D or a JRF, then surely it will help you in getting ahead of others.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
