Respected Members,
I am Vamshi.I joined in Phd (Maths) in 2011 in a local university without CSIR-UGC JRF. Now I am in second year in my Phd. My question is that, Can I write CSIR to get JRF while studying Phd? I am in second year in my Phd. If I will clear JRF, Can I get JRF with continuing my Phd course? (OR) Will I have to get new admission in any university for Phd again to get JRF after qualifying the CSIR JRF? Please, give your advice. Please help me. Thank You. |

Re: Can I write CSIR to get JRF while studying PhD?
As far as eligibility criteria is concerned for CSIR NET JRF, there shouldn't be any problem if you have a post graduation degree with at least 55% marks. There is nothing written about Ph.D candidates.
If you want to appear for JRF and have age below 28 years then surely you can apply for it. It will add to your qualification if you qualify it. |

Eligibility for CSIR JRF exam:-
>>You must be a post graduation degree with at least 55% marks from recognized Indian institution. >>Your age must not be more than 28 years So, you are applicable for CSIR - junior research fellowship examination. CSIR has five major sciences. You can opt for the major who are into. It is conducted twice in a year. If you are interested, you can try for NET- National Eligibility Test also. It is for lectureship. |
