CS (Company Secretaries) examination is conducted by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. There are three stages to be pursued to qualify as a Company Secretary course:

~~ Foundation Course
~~ Intermediate Course &
~~ Final Course.

After 10+2 (Intermediate) examination in any stream makes you eligible for join Foundation Course. There is no restriction with minimum percentage of marks for seeking admission in CS course.

After a minimum period of 8 months of registration, you are eligible to appear for CS Foundation examination. The examination is conducted twice in a year i.e. in June and December every year.

If you have already registered for June CS Foundation examination, then please prepare well as per the pattern. To crack the CS Foundation course you must have a Basic and conceptual knowledge of all subjects mentioned below.

1. Business Environment & Entrepreneurship
2. Business Management, Ethics & communication
3. Business Economics
4. Fundamental of Accounting & Auditing.

The Foundation course examination is going to be conducted in 6-7 June 2015. To crack the foundation course you need to prepare well, please work hard and keep touch with the above mentioned subjects. To crack any examination needs deep knowledge of the subjects. If you are good in academics, then it is not a very difficult task for you to crack CA Foundation course.

ICSI foundation course CS - Company Secretary is one of the reputed course among CA and ICWA and most of the candidates prefers CS course to other course mentioned in accounting field and if you want to become a successful CS then you will have to qualify the course with higher marks then only you will be considered the best CS among other competitors that is why know the details of CS course first.

All those candidates who have passed 10+2/ senior secondary examination of a recognized university/ board are eligible to apply for admission in CS course.

Those candidates who have appeared/ appearing final exams are also eligible for provisional admission to the course.

Candidate can only be admitted after submission of all certificates regarding date of birth and educational qualification.

The CS course can be completed in 8 months means this is the duration. All foundation course students are required to qualify Foundation examination first then only their admission will be confirmed.

Subjects asked in examination of CS Foundation Course :

>> Elements of Business Laws and Management

The Foundation course examination would be held in June 2015 and you have started preparation for this examination from January 2015 so I would say that you have enough time to qualify this examination because if you focus and concentrate only on your study and preparation then this time may be more than enough for you.

So find a better guide of this examination and get guided under him and also work hard from yourself and for that, you need to give 8 hours only for study to qualify this course except the time of coaching because you have less time if compare to the other students but if you gets serious now then you can secure good percentile and qualify this exam.

If you had completed a bachelor's or master's degree in company secretaryship or passed commerce in final year examination of ICWAI / ICAI of India then you would not have needed to pursue the course means you would have got admission directly without qualifying foundation examination, well no matter just prepare and give time to your preparation only.

No dear, it is not late yet. You can go for preparation this time. As it is January only and you have to write your exam in June. But, Foundation has to be started very early, so you can do one thing you can get the crash course instead of foundation. This will help you a lot.

CS has three levels to be cleared

>>Foundation level
>>Intermediate level
>>Final level

To apply for Foundation level, you must have done 12th class in any stream from approved institution.
