Marine courses available after B.Sc Nautical science? Availability of jobs?


I have completed Bsc nautical science from IGNOW university. I wanted to know what are the post graduation courses avialable in marine field with reagard to job avialability after completion. Also intrested in knowing same in foreign and as well india. Also considering with new big ports comming along indain coast recent times???

Marine Engineering is one of the toughest and adventurous field. It is challenging as well. it is good to see you aspiring for higher studies in this field since it will increase the scope of your good job opportunities. The courses for post graduation in this field are :-

-General Purpose Rating (GP Rating)
-Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS)
-Graduate Marine Engineering
-Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marine Engineering
-Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nautical Science
-M.E. Marine Engineering
-Medical First Aid (MFA)
-Pre sea Training for Graduates (GME)

You can get employment opportunities in shipping, ship manufacturing, steel industry, power sector, manufacturing sector, consultancy firm. You need to design, construct and develop nautical equipments. You can have lucrative career options in public and private shipping companies, engine production firms, ship building and designing firms, navy, research bodies.

Many courses and higher study options are available for you.Basically to go for the higher studies you need to have a Bachelor Degree.Since you have completed your studies in B.Sc in Nautical Science you no need to worry at all.You must have possessed a minimum o 55% in your Bachelor degree to get an Admission in to the Masters Degree.

For Post graduation level courses,you need to write Entrance examinations for the admittance aspirants like you.You can admission in to the various courses such as,M.E or else M.Sc in Nautical Science.Since you have completed your Bachelor B.Sc in Nautical science,I suggest you togo for the M.Sc in Nautical science post graduation course.

Other than the above Post graduation courses,you may get in to the various programs such as post graduate diploma courses such as Fire prevention and fire fighting,Chemical tanker familiarization,higher national diploma in Marine engineering,Post graduate diploma in Maritime law,Pre-sea training for graduates,Global maritime distress and safety system,general purpose rating,shipwright,ship masters medicare and more.

Soon after completion of the higher courses after your B.Sc in Nautical science you can find your career in the following fields such as ,International or national shipping organization,as navigating officers,marine engineers,Private shipping firms,foreigh origin firms and more.
