shall i get admission in engineering? i got 50% in 12th with 117 marks in pcm? and im in open catagory?

Hello friend,

For Getting admission in Engineering, you should 50% aggregate or individual in PCM. so, in agregate you are full filling the eligibility, than you are Eligible for Engineering.

So, try for variou govt. cet examination in that you can easily get good college based upon your performance.

As per AICTE rule its mandatory to have 50% or more in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. I am afraid to say that you have failed to get the required marks.

as a matter of fact the least requirements for admission into an engineering college(and that is for COMEDK exam) is 50% in PCM and 50% in top 4. since your PCM% is just 39 it is unfortunate that you will get admission in engineering. generally other entrance exams require 60%.

* You will be able to enter engineering colleges with a cot off of 117 altogether in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

* But the thing is that, you will be able to join only lower grade colleges where in you will not be provided the best coaching and even some of the institutions does not provide placement opportunities for students.

* So, its your decision to go with either Engineering or arts and science colleges. But, i would recommend you to go with arts and science colleges.
