Both PSU and IIT MTech are good options from the placement point of view. However, there are some key differences between the two.
• PSUs: PSUs offer a guaranteed job after graduation. The starting salary for a graduate from a PSU is usually around INR 6 lakhs per year. The salary can increase every year based on the performance of the employee.

• IIT MTech: The placement rate for IIT MTech graduates is very high. The starting salary for an IIT MTech graduate can be as high as INR 12 lakhs per year. The salary can increase every year based on the performance of the employee.

Here is the key differences between PSUs and IIT MTech from the placement point of view:
• Job Guarantee: PSUs offer a guaranteed job after graduation, while IIT MTech does not.
• Starting Salary: The starting salary for a graduate from a PSU is usually around INR 6 lakhs per year, while the starting salary for an IIT MTech graduate can be as high as INR 12 lakhs per year.
• Salary Increment: The salary increment for both PSU and IIT MTech graduates is based on performance.
• Job Location: PSU jobs are usually located in India, while IIT MTech graduates have the opportunity to work anywhere in the world.
• Research Opportunities: Research opportunities are limited in PSUs, while IITs offer excellent research opportunities.
Ultimately, the best way to decide which option is right for you is to talk to people who have worked in both PSUs and IITs and get their insights.
